Survivorship-to-Workforce
Survivorship begins at diagnosis. The EquiThrive Institute strengthens cancer care by expanding the coordinated support services survivors need to rebuild their lives during and after treatment. While some medical care may conclude, many survivors face new challenges returning to work or school, managing financial strain, and navigating long-term recovery.
Through navigation, referrals, career discovery, skill-building, and job development and placement, EquiThrive connects survivors to education, employment opportunities, and trusted community resources. By working alongside healthcare providers, workforce partners, and community organizations, we help survivors regain stability, independence, and confidence as they move forward and thrive beyond cancer.
Job Development & Placement
EquiThrive works alongside cancer survivors to support their return to meaningful employment after treatment. Through individualized job development, résumé and interview preparation, and connections to supportive employers, we help survivors re-enter the workforce with confidence and stability.
Our approach focuses on creating pathways to sustainable employment that recognize both survivors’ strengths and the unique challenges that may follow cancer treatment.
Career Discovery
EquiThrive supports survivors in exploring new or renewed career pathways as they transition beyond treatment. Through guided career discovery, we help individuals reflect on their interests, strengths, and evolving priorities to identify opportunities that align with their goals and well-being.
This person-centered approach empowers survivors to pursue work that is both meaningful and sustainable.
Skill Building
EquiThrive provides targeted skill-building opportunities to help survivors strengthen the tools needed to succeed in today’s workforce. Through coaching, training, and practical learning experiences, we focus on workplace readiness, communication, time management, and confidence-building.
Our goal is to equip survivors with the skills and support necessary to regain independence and thrive in their next chapter after cancer
Survivor Navigation & Resource Coordination
EquiThrive helps cancer survivors navigate the complex systems they encounter after treatment. Through personalized guidance and resource coordination, we connect individuals to supportive services such as financial assistance programs, healthcare resources, education and training opportunities, and community-based supports.
By serving as a trusted connector, we help survivors access the right resources at the right time, reducing barriers and strengthening their path toward stability and long-term well-being.
